Since I was a child I have had a deep love of animals. I was raised in the city though and I can honestly say I NEVER saw myself living on a farm. A few years ago we decided we wanted to step back from the rat race of city life and give our 5 children a different experience. We bought some land and started our research to figure out what animals would be right for us. We knew we wanted to get a couple of dairy goats to provide our family with fresh milk and mini nubians seamed like the perfect choice. They are small enough for even the kids to easily handle and I really love those big floppy ears. Once we brought home our first 2 ladies we realized that goats are the absolute best!!! I had no idea they had so much personality! It turns out goats are like potato chips, you can’t stop with just 1… or 5… or 10… or... 15 goats later and we have realized we are officially a goat farm. LOL! We also have 2 mini Jersey cows, a horse, a pig, a couple of ducks and too many chickens to count. After 3 years of farm life i can honestly say it was the best choice for our family.
